In Act 1, Scene 4 of Romeo & Juliet, Mercutio describes Queen Mab's conveyance:

Through lovers' brains, and then they dream of love;

We are but humble forest creatures, content to while away at our handiwork to aid the fairies, or humans, or any who might offer us patronage. We're geeks, making things for geeks, and when our English-teacher-turned-professional-podcaster friend suggested it, it just clicked. A bit more interesting and hip than yet another custom cutting shop with "Forge" in the name, eh?

Our garments are absolutely machine-washable, even after imprinting. For the best lifespan of your imprint, always turn inside-out before washing and wash only on the Delicates cycle using the gentle detergent of your choice. If possible, hang the garment to dry, or tumble dry as Delicates.

Be sure to retrieve imprinted items from the dryer as soon as they are finished, and ideally hang them to be stored. If you must fold them, do your best to avoid folding along the imprint. If you must iron the garment, never iron on the imprinted side. Iron only from the back of the garment.

All of the items at Squirrel & Grub are hand-made, to order, to your specifications. We source each garment as-needed to avoid wasteful extra stock. We craft each garment individually with care, and to your requested specifications. Often, your garment may arrive to you much sooner than the listed time, but we would rather find you happily surprised by our speed than disappointed with it.

Hopefully it won't! We use high quality materials and take great care in our process to prevent this. If you are gentle with your garment and follow the laundering instructions, it should last you for many years. However, accidents happen, and sometimes the integrity of your design may be affected. Usually this will be the corner peeling up. If this happens, the sooner you fix it, the better! Please contact us for instructions if this happens.
